Design Philosophy

We make jackets from premium goose down for ordinary days. The same jacket covers the school pickup, the commute, the weekend and the trip, so one good piece does the work of several.

Premium down for everyday life

Premium goose down gives a jacket its warmth for very little weight. We use it to build jackets for ordinary consumers, because ordinary weeks ask a lot of a jacket.

In a single week a jacket goes to the school run, the train platform, the sideline, a weekend trail and the overhead bin. Versatility is the design brief, and two jackets cover it: one for days that change, one for days that stay cold.

Scenes from an ordinary week

These are the moments we design around, in the order a week tends to run: weekdays, the weekend, and the occasional trip.

Weekdays
7:00 AMThe first walk of the day

Coffee in one hand, leash in the other, hood up against the wind. The jacket goes on before you are fully awake and stays on all morning.

Both jackets
8:30 AMThe commute

A walk from the train, a cold car seat, a parking lot before sunrise. The jacket is warm from the first minute and stays comfortable once you are indoors.

Heavyweight
5:30 PMAfter work, on the sideline

Soccer practice, a youth game, an outdoor rink. You stand in the cold for an hour waiting for the kids, and the jacket keeps you warm while you stay still.

Heavyweight
Weekends
Occasional travel
SaturdaySaturday outside

A trailhead, a park, a long walk with the family. Weekends are spent outdoors, and the weather does not always cooperate. The hood takes the wind and light rain, and the jacket stays comfortable as the day warms up and cools off.

Lightweight
Any tripPacked for the trip

It packs down into a suitcase or backpack and comes out ready to wear. Layer it under a coat in a cold city, or wear it on its own in a mild one.

Lightweight

Which winter are you dressing for?

For days that change Lightweight

Light enough to forget you are wearing it, warm enough for a cold morning. Wear it alone when it is mild, and layer up when the temperature drops. It moves easily between the weekend trail, the trip and the city.

Warmth Lightness

Built for 59°F down to 23°F (15°C to −5°C).

PeakLite Goose Down Jacket

Three seasons in one lightweight layer.

For days that stay cold Heavyweight

A roomier, softer fit with serious warmth. Built for the long cold season, from the first frosty commute to the last, with space for a sweater underneath and a clean shape for the commute, the sideline and everything in between.

Warmth Lightness

Deep-winter warmth that works as a single layer.

SnowRidge Goose Down Jacket

Deep warmth for the weekday routine.

Premium goose down carries more warmth for its weight than synthetic insulation,so both jackets stay light while delivering real warmth.
